Privacy & SMS Policy

What we collect

• Phone numbers and names of chat members, provided by the chat's administrator or by the member themselves.
• Messages sent through a chat, kept for up to 90 days to deliver them and help with support, then deleted. Message counts (without content) are kept for billing.
• Consent records — when a number joined, the exact text of the opt-in reply, and any STOP/START events — kept permanently, because carriers and law require us to prove consent.
• Billing details are handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card numbers.

SMS program disclosures

• Messages come from Klal Chat.
• Consent is required. Nobody receives group messages without opting in: added members must reply YES to a single invitation, or text the group's JOIN code themselves.
• Message frequency varies by group activity. Message & data rates may apply.
• Text STOP to cancel at any time — you will receive no further messages from that number. Text HELP for help, or contact support@klalchat.com.
• No third-party marketing. Mobile opt-in data and consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data will not be shared with any third parties, except with service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the service (e.g. our SMS carrier).

How we use information

Only to run the service: routing messages to a chat's members, showing administrators their roster and usage, billing, preventing abuse, and complying with carrier and legal requirements. We do not advertise, profile, or sell data.

Sharing

We share data only with the processors needed to operate: our SMS carrier (to deliver messages), Stripe (payments), and our hosting provider (infrastructure) — each bound to use it only for providing their service to us — or when required by law.

Your choices

• Text STOP to any of our numbers to stop all messages from it.
• Text #exit to leave a chat while allowing other chats.
• Email support@klalchat.com to ask what we hold about your number or to request deletion (consent and opt-out records may be retained as required for compliance).
