1. Who we are

Klal Chat ("the Service", "we", "us") relays text messages among the members of private group chats and provides a web dashboard for chat administrators.

2. The service

Each chat is assigned one or more telephone numbers. Messages sent to a chat's number by an active member are forwarded by SMS to the chat's other active members. We are a conduit for our users' messages; the administrator and members are responsible for what they send.

3. Accounts and administrators

Administrators sign in with a one-time code sent to their phone. You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your phone secure. You must be at least 18 to create a chat.

4. Consent and acceptable use

You may only add people to a chat who you reasonably believe want to be in it. Every added member receives a single invitation and joins only by replying YES (or by texting the chat's JOIN code themselves). You must not use the Service for marketing to people who have not opted in, for unlawful, harassing, or deceptive messages, or in violation of carrier rules (CTIA guidelines), the TCPA, or other applicable law. We honor STOP immediately and permanently until the recipient opts back in.

5. Fees and trial

Chats are billed in advance at the published plan price, plus optional prepaid credit top-ups. There are no overage charges: when a chat's credits are used up, the chat pauses unless more credits are purchased. New chats start with a short free trial (a card is required; the trial length and first charge date are disclosed at checkout, and we text the administrator a reminder before the first charge). Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Members' own carriers may charge them for messages ("msg & data rates may apply").

6. Cancellation

You may cancel any time; the chat stays active until the end of the paid period, then closes, and members are notified once. We may suspend or terminate chats that violate these terms or create carrier compliance risk.

7. Service quality

SMS is delivered by third-party carriers we don't control. We make reasonable efforts but cannot guarantee delivery or delivery times. The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the three months before the claim.

8. Messages and retention

Message content is retained for up to 90 days for delivery and support purposes, then deleted; counts and consent records are retained longer (see the Privacy Policy). Do not use the Service for messages you need archived.

9. Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted on this page with a new date. Continued use after changes is acceptance.
